Patio furniture FAQs

How long can I expect my patio furniture to last?

The answer to this question largely depends on the type of patio furniture that is purchased. For example, if wood furniture is purchased, there is a good chance that it can last for quite some time as long as it is weatherproofed. Likewise, granite furniture also should last for a good long time. Furniture that is made from plastic or from aluminum may not last as long. However it could if it were to be very well taken care of and protected against the elements. In general, any piece of patio furniture should be made well enough to last for at least a few years, and possibly longer.

I want to use a patio heater, but am unsure of how well they work. Would buying one of these be a wise purchase?

Patio heaters actually usually work pretty well, however there are certain times when they typically should not be used. For example, these heaters usually should not be used during times when it is snowing or raining outside. Likewise, it is typically not a good idea to use these patio heaters during those times when the wind is blowing thanks to the fact that they could be knocked over and be at risk of starting a fire.

How much furniture should I have on my patio?

Having too much patio furniture might be just as bad as not having enough. If a patio appears to be cluttered, there is less of a chance that people are going to want to use it. Likewise, a lot of patio furniture can make it difficult for one to do something as simple as walk from one side of the patio to the next. It is important to make sure that people are able to walk from one side of the patio to the other without needing to squeeze in and out of any part of the patio.
