Patio cushions

Although buying patio cushions for chairs can be fairly simple, it is important that one takes his or her time to make sure that the cushions meet all of his or her specifications. Some of the things to consider include:

• Size – Not all cushions are going to be the same size, which means that not all cushions will fit all chairs. One should measure his or her chair before buying patio cushions to make sure they will properly fit.

• Thickness – The thickness (or lack thereof) of patio cushions is also important. Some people prefer thicker cushions because they consider softer chairs to be more comfortable. However, some who have back problems need more firmness and less cushion in their patio cushions.

• Fabric – Some people do not pay a lot of attention to the fabric of their patio cushions until it is too late. If the cushions will be on chairs that are exposed to the rain and other elements, it might be best to find cushions that are covered in vinyl, plastic or another substance that is easily wiped off.

• Durability – Simply put, some patio cushions are just more durable than others. For example, cushions that are machine washable are likely to be around for some time. When looking for durability, check the patio cushions for features like reinforced seams, zippers and cushion piping. Items like tie tabs are also nice because they can keep the cushions attached to the chairs.
